    Typically we have what is needed in stock. In some cases we will need to order the medication for you. Typically we will have your prescription the next business day. In rarer circumstances it make take 2-3 business days to receive your prescription, but once we have it in stock we will deliver it to your home or facility. 

    Do You Carry Over The Counter Medications?

    How Should I Take My Medication?

  • Why would I need a compounded medication?
    You may need a compounded medication if a commercial drug is unavailable, discontinued, causes allergies, or requires a unique dosage or form for easier administration.
  • Is compounded medication safe?
    Compounded medications are prepared by trained pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in licensed facilities following strict procedures for quality and sterility. Compounded drugs are not reviewed or approved by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality. Talk with your prescriber to decide if a compounded preparation is appropriate for you.

  • How long does it take to prepare a compounded prescription?
    Most compounds are prepared within 24–48 hours after we receive your prescription and any necessary authorizations.
  • How do I receive my compounded medication?
    We offer local delivery and free shipping for our patients, and same-day STAT delivery options for urgent hospice & LTC needs.
  • Are your compounds tested for quality and sterility?
    Yes. Our sterile compounds undergo third-party testing for potency and sterility to ensure the highest level of safety and efficacy.

What types of pet medications do you offer?
We offer a wide range of medications for dogs, cats, horses, and livestock, including treatments for infections, pain, anxiety, allergies, chronic conditions, and more. We also specialize in custom-compounded medications tailored to your animal’s needs.

Do you compound pet medications?
Yes! We specialize in veterinary compounding, creating customized medications in pet-friendly forms and flavors like chicken or beef chews, topical creams, and oral suspensions.

Can I transfer a prescription from my vet to your pharmacy?
Absolutely. Your veterinarian can call or fax your pet’s prescription directly to us, or simply contact us and we’ll coordinate the transfer for you.

Do you offer home delivery for pet medications?
Yes, we provide fast, convenient home delivery for both standard and compounded pet prescriptions throughout the Treasure Valley and across our licensed service states.

How long does it take to fill a pet medication?
Most standard medications are filled within 1 business day. Compounded prescriptions typically take 1–2 days depending on complexity. We’ll notify you as soon as it’s ready to be shipped.

Do I need a prescription from a veterinarian?
Yes. All pet medications we dispense require a valid prescription from a licensed veterinarian.

What animals do you serve?
We compound medications for dogs, cats, horses, livestock, and even exotic animals. If your pet has unique needs, give us a call, we’re happy to help.

Can I speak to a pharmacist about my pet’s medication?
Of course! Our pharmacists are trained in veterinary compounding and are happy to answer questions about dosing, side effects, and how to administer your pet’s medication.

What if my pet won’t take their medication?
We can help! We offer a variety of flavors and alternative dosage forms, like transdermal gels or chewable treats, to make administering medication easier for both you and your pet.

How do I refill a prescription?
You can request refills by phone, through our website, or by enrolling in our automatic refill reminder program to keep your pet’s treatment on track.

  • How Much Does It Cost To Deliver My Medications?

    It is 100% free! Once we have your order filled, it will go out on one of our two delivery runs each day. One of our in house couriers will deliver it to your home or facility free of charge or it will be shipped out via UPS.

    When Will My Prescription Be Delivered?

    Depending on what time we receive your prescription order, and if we have them in stock, they can be delivered on our first run which is between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Or they can go out on our second run which is between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm. 

    What If I Am Not Home When My Prescription Is Supposed To Be Delivered?

    If you know you are not going to be home at a specific time in the day you can give us a call and let us know what time you will be home. We then can make sure your prescriptions go out on the correct run to ensure you are home when they are delivered. If our courier tries to deliver and no one answers, they will give you a call and provide the information to us and we can reschedule the delivery for you. 

    Can Your Courier Leave My Medication At My Door If I Am Not Home?

    Unfortunately not, if there is not someone who is 18 or older who can sign for the delivery our courier will bring the delivery back to the pharmacy and we will reschedule the delivery for you. 

    How Far Do You Deliver?

    We deliver to all of the treasure valley and much of southwest Idaho. We also ship to 28 states which you can view by clicking here.

    Can I Receive My Delivery At My Workplace Or A Different Address than previously delivered to?

    Yes, if you have a permanent address change or need your meds delivered to a different address than we previously delivered to, give us a call and we can make sure your meds are delivered to the right address.

    What If I Have A Question Or Concern About My Medication Delivery?

    What If I Am Not Home When My Prescription Is Supposed To Be Delivered?

  • What Is Medication Management?

    Medication management is a service provided by us, at Mountain Care Pharmacy, to help patients optimize their medication therapy. This service involves a comprehensive review of the patient’s medications, including prescription and non-prescription drugs, vitamins, and supplements, to ensure they are safe and effective for the patient’s medical condition. We also work with patients to address medication-related issues, such as side effects, drug interactions, or medication non-adherence. 

    Why Would I Need This Service?

    The goal of medication management is to help patients achieve better health outcomes and improve their quality of life through the safe and effective use of their medications, all while minimizing the risk of adverse drug reactions or interactions. You no longer have to manage all your meds yourself. We will do it for you and provide your meds in a free disposable custom adherence package (i.e. Mediset-style cards) designed to make sure that all meds are taken exactly when they should be. This includes adding your supplements or any OTC meds that you may be taking, to your weekly pack.

    How Much Does This Service Cost?

    Our services have, and will remain completely free. The only cost to you is the copay or the cost of the medications. The cost should be the same or cheaper than what your current pharmacy is already charging.
